Depending on the process engineering requirements, the process in the rotary kiln is conducted according to either the counter-current or co-current principle. The reactions occurring in the rotary kiln can be either exothermic or endothermic. For endothermic processes, such as pyrolysis, we optionally offer external heating of the rotary kiln to precisely provide the required reaction heat.
Designing an efficient rotary kiln system requires a thorough analysis: this includes determining the flue gas volume and temperature (combustion calculation), defining the residence time, and calculating the optimal fill level. These parameters are crucial for sizing the rotary kiln, especially its diameter and length.
