Retrofitting of the steam-gas preheater
Zu allen NeuigkeitenPower Service Solutions GmbH has been awarded the contract to convert the reheating of the flue gases within the three existing flue gas cleaning lines.
EnBW operates three waste-fired boilers at the Stuttgart-Münster site. A three-stage flue gas cleaning system is installed downstream of the waste boilers. Gas-fired preheaters are currently used to heat the flue gases before the SCR catalytic converter. As part of the efficiency increase, the gas preheaters in the associated flue gas cleaning system will be converted from gas-fired to steam operation.
Power Service Solutions GmbH has been awarded the contract to convert the reheating of the flue gases within the three existing flue gas cleaning lines. Our scope of supply and services includes the process engineering design of the new systems to be installed, manufacture and delivery. The dismantling, assembly, commissioning and trial operation are also part of our scope of supply and services.
The first assembly works for the connecting pipework are currently in progress. Pipe connections have already been carried out during the shutdown of the first part of the plant. Further piping, valve stations, intermediate condensate tanks and a condensate collection tank will be installed by mid-August. The heat exchangers will then be installed in the existing ducts. The overall project will be completed with the final conversion and commissioning measures in summer 2026. We would like to thank EnBW for the excellent cooperation and the trust they have placed in us.
We are proud of our team’s achievements and look forward to more challenging projects.
