Replacement of hot water section of boiler 1 and boiler 2

Power Service Solutions was commissioned by its long standing customer, Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann, to replace the hot water components on both waste heat boilers. The components were delivered in 2020 by the predecessor company of Power Service Solutions. Extensive repair work on the membrane walls is also part of the contract. The clad membrane wall elements required for this were manufactured by Meeraner Dampfkesselbau, a sister company of Power Service Solutions. The work required on Boiler 2 presented a particular challenge. Within just 11 working days, approximately 50 tons of material were moved and over 600 welds were made in a very confined space. With Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann as a goal oriented and cooperative customer, we were able to successfully implement the project.
